A purple crescent moon with stars served as Marlee's personal logo throughout her Bat Mitzvah montage, and honestly, it could not have been more fitting. This girl from West Harrison, NY radiates the kind of light that fills a room before she even says a word. From the very first toddler clip of her cheering "Yay, Marlee!" to a closing screen that reads "Dream Big, Marlee Rose and REACH FOR THE STARS," her Bat Mitzvah video is a love letter to a life lived with full-throttle joy.
The montage opens on Coldplay's "A Sky Full of Stars" as baby and toddler photos bloom across a lavender, silver, and navy palette. Starry sky backdrops pulse with animated light flares and sparkles, and a signature night sky theme weaves constellations and crescent moons through every chapter. The editing moves with energy: brush stroke reveals, 3D card flips, spinning carousels, and kaleidoscope effects mirror the adventure packed into Marlee's thirteen years. She has surfed, climbed rocks, ridden horses, skated on ice rinks, sailed on boats, played saxophone, rolled pasta by hand, and traveled to London, Italy, and Amsterdam. The backgrounds shift to match her world, soccer balls and starry skies trading places as Phil Collins and Noah Kahan carry the family chapters forward.
The middle of the video is where the tears come. "Story of My Life" plays over photos with both sets of grandparents and a wide circle of extended family. Then "Stargazing" by Myles Smith opens the friendship chapter, a glowing collection of camp memories, school moments, and sport sidelines. A selective color effect, where Marlee pops in full color against a black-and-white world, appears at just the right moments to say: this is her story, and she is the center of it. The finale lands on Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now," and it is absolutely the right choice. By the time the screen fades on that custom crescent moon logo, you feel like you have just watched someone's whole beautiful, starlit childhood in eleven minutes.
At The Montage Maven, we believe these milestone videos deserve the same care and craft as the celebration itself. Marlee's family chose our Silver package, and we poured that same intention into every transition, every music cue, every glowing frame. We create montages for all kinds of milestones: weddings, mitzvahs, birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, graduations, and sports tributes. If you are planning a celebration and want to tell your story this way, we would love to hear from you.
